AP Course Offerings at DMPS

Des Moines Public Schools has long been an Iowa leader in offering high-quality Advanced Placement courses, with top students from the metro area studying at Central Academy.

Today, all five comprehensive high schools at DMPS also offer an array of AP courses. In fact, thanks to the district’s deliberate work to expand course offerings and create high-quality sustainable AP programs, all five comprehensive high schools are ranked on the Iowa Advanced Placement Index, released each year by the Belin-Blank Center at the University of Iowa.
