Air Conditioning Increased

Improved heating and cooling systems makes for healthier classroom environments while saving money.

Early dismissal of classes due to heat will soon be a thing of the past as nearly 100% of all classrooms in Des Moines are air-conditioned.

These mechanical and electrical upgrades not only provide for more comfortable and efficient  classrooms, but the increased and improved ventilation also provides for healthier spaces in which to learn.

And while the number of air conditioned classrooms has increased, the energy construction by the school district has continued to decrease.
