South Region to Host Family Night

Schools in the South Region of Des Moines Public Schools have organized their second annual family night open house. This year’s event, “The Total Experience,” will be held:

Thursday, Feb. 18
5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

Lincoln High School Roundhouse

2600 SW 9^th St.

Families are encouraged to attend to gain information about learning opportunities for their children at every school in the South Region, including programs available at Central Campus and Central Academy. Activities will include student performances from all grade levels, technology demonstrations, and information about Lincoln High Schools’ 21^st Century Academies. Free food will be provided by the Lincoln High School Booster Club.

“This is a special night where families in our South Region come together as a group,” said Terrence Martin, associate superintendent for the South Region. “After the success we had with last year’s open house, we decided to make it a yearly event.”
