DMPS Swimmers Qualify for State in Six Events

Student-athletes from Hoover, Lincoln, North and Roosevelt will be representing Des Moines at the 2014 Boys’ State Swimming Meet.

Swimmers from DMPS qualified in three individual events and three relay events. They are:

50 Yard Freestyle

  • Oliver Shimp, Roosevelt

500 Yard Freestyle

  • Corbin Faidley, Hoover/North

100 Yard Breaststroke

  • Matt Schwarz, Hoover/North

200 Yard Medley Relay

  • Hoover/North

200 Yard Freestyle Relay

  • Hoover/North
  • Roosevelt

400 Yard Freestyle Relay

  • Lincoln

The 2014 Boys’ State Swimming Meet will be held Saturday, February 15 starting at 12:30 PM at the Marshalltown YMCA-YWCA. For more information, visit the Iowa High School Athletic Association.
