Community Forums Set on Revenue Purpose Statement

Des Moines Public Schools officials will conduct three community forums to enable community members to learn more about the revenue purpose statement, which will be included on the upcoming Sept. 8, school board ballot.

Forums will be held at the following locations:

North High School
501 Holcomb Avenue
Thursday, August 13
6:30-7:30 p.m.
Cafeteria

Hoyt Middle School
2700 East 42^nd Street
Monday, August 17
6:30-7:30 p.m.
Cafeteria

Brody Middle School
2501 Park Ave.
Thursday, August 20
6:30-7:30 p.m.
Cafeteria

“We believe community members need to know exactly what they are voting on,” said Bill Good, Chief Operations Officer. “These forums also are intended to help people understand what the vote on the revenue purpose statement means for our students over the next 29 years.”
