Five students from Roosevelt’s AP art class were chosen to create a piece of artwork for the 28th annual Philanthropy Day luncheon held by AFP, or The Association of Fundraising Professionals. Melissa Laure, Rachel Schneider, Keegan Walpole, Julia Nguyen, and Lucia Ruppert each made creations that were awarded to the following individuals/organizations as chosen by the AFP:

Fred and Charlotte Hubbell, Outstanding Individual Philanthropists
Richard “Rich” Willis, Outstanding Volunteer Fundraiser
The O’Donnell Family, Spirit of Philanthropy
Maria Lind, Outstanding Youth Volunteer
