Through a partnership with Iowa State University, ten teams of Iowa State University student teachers, engineering students, and cooperating DMPS teachers are in 10 Des Moines classrooms this semester as part of Trinect. One of those triad teams was at Downtown School this semester. So on December 17th they demonstrated their research to family and friends during a Engineering Design Expo. During the event, students explained how they used concepts of electricity and magnetism with prototype solutions to learn key content.
