Words were spat, snaps were snapped and tears and cheers were shared as student spoken word artists competed in the 4th annual Des Moines Poetry Slam Finals at the Temple for Performing Arts. Six students will go on to represent Des Moines at the Brave New Voices Festival this summer in Washington, DC.
