Clemencia Spizzirri of Merrill Middle School was named the 2015 Iowa Teacher of the Year. She was celebrated at a school assembly on December 5 attended by the Merrill student body and staff along with Governor Terry Branstad, Iowa Department of Education Director Brad Buck, and Superintendent Tom Ahart.
